Claude on the web and in the phone app use the same connector. Add it once and ask from either one. If Claude asks to allow the Garmin tools in a chat, allow them.

Five starter prompts

  1. How did I sleep last night? Give duration, stages, and sleep score.
  2. Show my last run: distance, time, average pace, average heart rate, and every lap.
  3. What pace have I been running my 1000 m reps at lately?
  4. Look at this week’s sleep, Body Battery, and activities. Should I go hard, easy, or rest tomorrow?
  5. How has my threshold pace changed over the last three months?

Questions

Do I need a terminal or a config file?

Which Claude menu has custom connectors?

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. On some Claude screens the path starts from Customize instead of Settings; look for Connectors.

What do I pick on the sign-in screen in Claude?

Keep No sign-in selected. Your private link already identifies your account, so treat it like a key.

Does it work in the Claude phone app?

Yes. Once the connector is added to your Claude account, you can ask from the phone app.

Can my AI change my Garmin data?

No. All 15 tools are read-only.

Where does my Garmin password go?

It is used once to sign in to Garmin. We keep a session token so your AI can read your data, not the password.

Is Garmin MCP made by Garmin or Anthropic?

No. Garmin MCP is an independent service. It is not affiliated with Garmin Ltd. or Anthropic.

Your watch has the numbers. Let your AI read them. Connect Garmin, copy one link, paste it in.
