Ask your AI about your Garmin sleep and Body Battery

Connect your Garmin to your AI with one private link, then ask in plain words. Your AI can read your sleep duration, stages, and sleep score, plus Body Battery charged, drained, highest, and lowest per day, and put them next to your recent training.

Your watch already tracks how you slept and how much energy you had left. Your AI turns those numbers into a straight answer: a hard session today, or an easy one.

Set it up once

  1. Open Connect your Garmin and sign in with your Garmin email and password.
  2. Type the code if Garmin sends one.
  3. Select Copy to copy your private link.
  4. Add it to your AI app as a custom connector. In Claude: open SettingsConnectorsAdd custom connector, name it “Garmin”, paste the link, and select Continue.
  5. Keep No sign-in selected and select Add.

Eight prompts to copy

  1. How did I sleep last night? Give duration, stages, and sleep score.
  2. Compare my sleep score for each of the last seven nights and name the best and worst night.
  3. How much deep and REM sleep did I get last night compared to the night before?
  4. Show my Body Battery charged, drained, highest, and lowest for each day this week.
  5. My Body Battery was low this morning. Look at last night’s sleep and yesterday’s activities. What drained it?
  6. Is my resting heart rate today above my 7-day average?
  7. Look at last night’s sleep, today’s Body Battery, and my last three activities. Should I train hard, easy, or rest today?
  8. Did I sleep worse on the nights after my hardest sessions this month?

Get sharper answers

Name the window. “Last seven nights” beats “lately”. Ask for a decision, not a summary: “hard, easy, or rest, with one reason”. Sync your watch before you ask, so last night is in Garmin Connect.

Keep health questions with a clinician. Your AI reads training and recovery numbers; it does not diagnose anything.

Questions

Can my AI read my Garmin sleep score?

Yes. After you connect, your AI can read the sleep score, duration, and sleep stages for any night you name.

Can my AI read Body Battery?

Yes. It reads Body Battery charged, drained, highest, and lowest for each day in a date range you ask about.

Does it work on my phone?

In Claude, yes: add the connector once in settings and ask from the phone app. Claude is the app we test.

Why does my AI not see last night yet?

Your watch has not synced with Garmin Connect yet. Open the Garmin Connect app to sync, then ask again.

Is this medical advice?

No. It is training talk from your own numbers. Health concerns belong with a clinician.

Can my AI change anything in my Garmin account?
